This week our selected image is from @mysticmermaid. We asked our mobile photographer community to look at traditional still life subject matter arranged on a table with consideration for light and composition. Here’s what motivated @mysticmermaid:
“Treasure shells twinkling in the most perfect window light. This is a shot of some souvenirs from my wonderful vacation at the beaches of Monterey, California. I love the contrast of the white shells in the clear vase on the black table.” -Christy
When starting the still life lounge, #stilllifelounge Jen (@ikebana_jen) and I (@annacox) took into account the beauty of the mundane. The objects you see everyday but pass over for cityscapes or similar grandiose shots. The lounge is a place where we slow down and take in the details.
