Artist Statement
I am a self-taught photographer and writer, born 1987 in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and deeply interested in exploring and understanding the world within and around me. The best tools for that are my camera – to capture what i see and visualize what i feel; my notebook – to reflect on my thoughts and experiences; my legs – to wander around for hours, exploring my surroundings; but first and foremost my heart – to stay sensitive towards others and intuitive and strong in my decisions.
I am working in the creative field for over six years now, either as a photographer, art-director or writer and am still very passionate about this. My work has been published in various magazines, featured on websites and blogs and has been exhibited in art-galleries as well as in various group shows.
