BE MOBILE: Seattle

Mobile Photography (iPhoneography) is a great way to share and be creative. With platforms such as Instagram, EyeEm, Flickr, Starmatic, and many more, the community is able to connect and opportunities have been more accessible to the average photographer.

If you are someone who loves to take snaps off your smart phone.  If you are someone who loves to play around with the thousands of camera apps out in Appland.  If you are someone who wants to meet others with this fascination and passion for creating images and art on your phone, then this is the class for you.

Fall quarter 2012 was a great success and for some reason, they brought BP back for Winter and Spring courses in 2013.  Not only led by BP, classes will have guest presenters on Hipstamatic, Snapseed, as well as the social sharing apps mentioned above. Participants will also exhibit their work in the Seattle Central Community College Gallery for months, maybe even years. Ok, maybe for a month =)

It’s going to be a grand old time!

Course Topics:

  • That’s A Cool Phone On Your Camera: Basics of photography
  • Look Ma, No Hands: Limits and No-Limits of smart phone photography
  • Appstackers, Mount Up:  Creating art on the phone
  • Off the phone, On the wall: Print and Publications
  • What is your story? Community, connection, and your story

What you will need:

  • A smart phone
  • One hour a week of your time
  • A smile and willingness to laugh at your teacher
  • A Pocket full of “Hi-5s” (BP loves to give those)
